It's Bow Time

If you grew up in the 90s, you probably remember the Sam & Libby Ballet Flats that made an appearance in just about every female pre-teen's closet -- at least here in Georgia. They came in a wide variety of colors, with the requisite bow on top, and of course every girl I knew had at least one pair. I remember wearing mine to school and choral recitals in the 7th and 8th grades. I just loved my Sam & Libby shoes, which is why I (perhaps) still love bows to this day.

If you're wondering what happened to Sam & Libby, well, that shoe brand is no longer around, but Sam went on to launch the mega-brand Sam Edelman years later.

Today's shoes, from SJP, made me think of those Sam & Libby flats I wore just about 30 years ago. Has it really been that long? Ugh, I'm old!

Technicolor Dream

Today's dress is certainly bright -- but oh so much fun. Fall may be here, but it's never too late in the year for color.

Chapin bought me these shoes for my birthday in 2020, otherwise known as my quarantine birthday. My birthday fell on a Saturday last year, too. Just my luck!

What a Week

Is it really only Wednesday? Sunday night started the week off well with the return of a semi-normal Emmy Awards ceremony (hooray for fun fashion and wins for Ted Lasso), and Monday night I saw one of my favorite Peloton instructors, Cody Rigsby, dance his heart out on Dancing With the Stars. (I don't watch a lot of reality TV, or this show -- ever -- but I had to support Cody!)

Then, yesterday, I was saddened to learn of the passing of one of my favorite Sex and the City actors, Willie Garson, who played Stanford Blatch. Not Stanny! Work has been one giant stress ball as well. I'm definitely wishing for the weekend to get here already.

It's been raining so much lately, for what feels like ten days straight, but this morning was clear enough to take a photo, so I opted for this bright and flattering BCBGMaxAzria dress.

Romping in Red

Today's dress is really a romper in disguise! Since I'm the only one actually going into the office, a romper seems like acceptable work wear. I guess anything goes these days!
