Chapin and I have both been so excited to try this new restaurant in Atlanta: Lyla Lila. We ate there Friday night with our good friends, Rahul and Vinnie, and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing!
It's also fun to get dressed up to go out. Chapin wore a new shirt from Hugo Boss and I wore a Milly dress that has been gathering dust in my closet for a few years now. I just love all the colors and the overall fit, so I was waiting for a special time to wear it.
What I Wore:
Dress: Milly Cube Print Handkerchief Dress
The dress is no longer available -- I think I bought it back in 2019 -- but here is a similar flowy style you can buy now on the Milly website.
Shoes: Sophia Webster Rosalind Jeweled Sandals in Turquoise
I've had these shoes a few years, so they are no longer available, but check out this pearl version of the Rosalind sandal.
What I Ate:
As for dinner, here is what I decided on. Everything was so good, we've already made another reservation to dine there in July.
For the first course, Rahul and I split two seafood appetizers:
- Cold Smoked Scallops with green harissa, Thai basil aioli, roe and pane carasau
- Tuna Crudo with aji amarillo, pickled strawberries, basil and popped sorghum
For the second course, we all had appetizer portions of a pasta. I chose Cacio e Pepe with gluten-free pasta made fresh at the restaurant.
My main course was seafood, of course! I chose the Snapper, which was wrapped in squash and a basil-pistachio pesto and served with gold potatoes and lemon-roe butter. It was delicious. The fish was moist and so flavorful.
If you're in Atlanta and looking for a great meal, I highly recommend Lyla Lila.
