Hot Pink in Hotlanta

Summer may be winding down, and Atlanta schools are already back in session, but it's still extremely hot in the city today. I'm wearing hot pink neon in full appreciation of this sweltering day.

I'm not normally a huge fan of shift dresses - they tend to work best on women who are small and less curvy - but I couldn't resist the combination of tweed and neon pink from my favorite designer.

Lip Color: NARS Roman Holiday Lipstick

This lip color is very light, but it's the perfect complement to the pink dress. I also have to mention that I am wearing the earrings my littlest sister, Laura, gave me when I was in her wedding five years ago. I still can't believe my baby sister is a married mom of two!

Day 163 in the Fashion Challenge

I only own one item from the designer Loeffler Randall, and this dress is it. The Loeffler Randall Graphic Dress has a very unique look, not only because of the loud print and diverse top/bottom colors, but also because of the silhouette. The back of the dress makes a fat"x" pattern and the pockets are so high up you wouldn't possibly use them. It's different... and I love it.

Since there's so much going on with the dress, I went really light on the jewelry, wearing just my diamond stud earrings and Michele watch. You won't see the watch in the picture, though. I was so tired this morning, I only remembered to put it on right before I flew out the door. I started watching Out of Sight on TV and didn't fall asleep until after 11. Damn, Clooney sure did look good in that movie.

I'm also wearing my Stuart Weitzman Black Patent Bamada Pumps and carrying my black Michele bag.

The lipstick today is also different for me since it's so very pink: NARS Roman Holiday. But I think it works here. I tend to think that lighter colors work better on me due to my skin tone.

This Friday will definitely be the last day in the Fashion Challenge, which will take me to Day 165 and wrap up the month of April. I still can't believe I made it this far.
