Today's dress from Donna Morgan features a bold, 60s-inspired geometric print and a high neck. What could be a stuffy look comes across as whimsical and fun thanks to the ruffled cap sleeves, ruffled hem and neck, and the sweet combination of colors. Pink, yellow and navy blue? Somehow it works.
My parents are staying with us for about a week while they re-do their downstairs hardwood floors, and we've been watching a lot of Netflix since they don't subscribe to the streaming service at home. Last night, I made them start watching The Queen's Gambit, and they are hooked. I love the fashion in that movie, and since it takes place in the 1950s and 1960s, today's dress seems like a nod to the show. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it.
I paired the dress with an old pair of Manolo Blahniks -- one of the first pairs I ever owned. The pink in the dress was a perfect match with the pink color of the sandals.
Completing the look is a pair of butterfly Kendra Scott earrings in Rose Pink Kyocera Opal.
