A Little Pink, A Little Pug

Weekends are normally very busy for us, but Chapin and I always make time for some really good food. Saturday night, we went out for a casual dinner at one of our favorite seafood restaurants, Goin' Coastal. We especially love the crab stuffed blue cheese oysters, and the restaurant has a wide array of gluten free options for good ole celiac me. (Best of all, the finest gelato in the city is located right next door.)

Atlanta is definitely not a city that dresses up, and since I love to wear dresses, I often feel overdressed - especially on weekends during the summer when it seems like everyone is sporting shorts and flip-flops. I've tried to find some nice, more casual dresses I can wear on the weekend, and pairing a dress with flats helps dress the outfit down a bit.

Dress: 4.Collective Sleeveless Flirty Dress in Hot Pink

I tracked down the dress in purple, and Ideeli.com has the dress in pink on sale. Message me for an invite to Ideeli or use this link. Fair warning, though: The cut-outs in the chest area make it difficult to wear a bra, so if you are self-conscious about things like that, this dress may not be for you.

Sandals: Kate Spade New York Adon "Eiffel Tower" Flats

The sandals come in the flat version and also a wedge. The flats are still available at 6pm and Amazon, but I couldn't find the Kate Spade New York Inoltra wedges online.

Clutch: Rafe "Tenten" Metallic Suede Fold-Over Clutch

The pug is my 9-year-old pug, George. We've had George since he was ten weeks old, and he means the world to me. It was so funny the way he got right in the picture and seemed to pose alongside me. He's something special, that George.

If you're wondering about that slight wave in my hair, that was my attempt to use my new curling wand. I didn't think I was too successful, but I like the effect in this picture. I'm inept with a curling iron, but I guess I'm learning on the curling wand.
