Plums the Word.... Peplum!

Dress: David Meister Royal Blue Belted Peplum Dress

I am a big fan of David Meister for his sophisticated designs, and while he is probably better known for his evening wear, I love his feminine day dresses for work. Some women may see his designs as skewing a little older, but he has a great variety of stylish options for any career woman.

Actress and comedian Julia Louis-Dreyfus is a big fan of the brand -- wasn't she amazing in Enough Said? -- and a variety of other actresses have been seen in his red carpet designs (everyone from Mindy Kaling to Michelle Rodriguez to Jane Fonda).

You can find David Meister at major retailers like Bloomingdale'sLord & TaylorNeiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.

This particular dress is no longer available, but there are a few still left on eBay. Saks also has a similar David Meister peplum dress in navy, but with a cowl neck instead of the square neck you see here.

Shoes: Stuart Weitzman Exsling Nude Platform Peep-Toe Sandals

The color of these pumps is technically "Adobe Aniline," but they are nude to me. The best reason to get a nude shoe? It makes your legs look longer. For a short woman like me (I'm only 5'3), nude pumps are priceless!

I bought these pumps back in 2012, so they are no longer available, but eBay has a few sandals left in black in a variety of sizes.
