The reason this is so exciting... Chapin and I have slept on the same mattress for about 10 years now. We were both new college graduates at the time, had hardly any money, and we basically bought the first bed that was comfortable, plush and that we could afford.
So... it's definitely time for a new bed. Both of our backs have been hurting lately -- and I refuse to believe it's just because we are "getting older." Boo hoo! Plus, it's not very comfortable to feel the bed sag down on the left side every time Chapin gets in it. So, this Saturday, we made the trek to Macy's and picked out a new bed. We are very excited about our choice, and even though it was a fairly expensive bed, we feel that it will be worth every penny. After all, we will sleep in this bed every night. It's not like we won't get any use out of it!
We enjoyed the rest of Saturday having an early dinner at Nino's so that Chapin could come home in time for the Auburn game. (He actually missed a little of the beginning. Oh well!) Thank goodness Auburn finally won the game! The photo here is of us on our way out to eat. I am wearing a Juicy Couture dress and Steve Madden shoes.
