You've Got the Love

Day 159 in the Fashion Challenge
If I look a little tired this morning, it's most likely because I didn't get a good night's sleep. Although I went to bed at a decent hour, the windy storm that started up around 3 a.m. woke me out of a deep sleep. It woke Chapin and George, too.

Usually a storm has to be pretty intense to bother us, since we are way up on the top floor (16th story) of our building. The wind was blowing so hard it was screeching. Chapin bolted out of bed because he had no idea if someone was trying to break in or really what was going on. Thank goodness it was just a bad storm. It took me awhile to fall back asleep, and then my alarm went off two hours later. I can't wait for Saturday morning when I can catch up on some sleep.

Today's dress is one I think of as my  J.Lo dress, since it seems like something she would wear. With the pink and gold combination of colors, it's a little obnoxious, but I love that it's different and eye catching. Eva Longoria must agree. She was spotted in the dress at one point, too.

Eva Longoria in Rebecca Taylor
This belted ruffle dress, from Rebecca Taylor, is about three years old, so I couldn't find it online for purchase. Rebecca Taylor designs tend to be more feminine and flowery, and Taylor Swift is a big lover of the brand. I love the brand, too -- when I can score something on sale. Most dresses tend to retail for around $300.

Today's shoes are my pink Moschino Cheap and Chic sandals. I am always happy when I can find something to wear with these sandals, since I love them, but the light pink color means they don't exactly go with everything in my closet.

Speaking of my closet, after going through the exercise of this challenge, Chapin has banned me from buying any more clothes for the rest of the year. Since my birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and people are starting to ask me what I would like for a gift, all I have is this to say: You can never have too many dresses.
